Chamber seminar on ‘Future of Business’

The first session at the ‘Future of Business’ innovation strategy and learning event organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will explore how innovative Sri Lankan businesses are, and how Sri Lanka ranks among its regional competitors.

The presentation by Ganaka Herath, Partner at McKinsey & Company with a focus on ‘Where do we stand?, Insights on Sri Lanka’s Status in Innovation and Charting the Way Forward’.

The seminar will also explore opportunities for developing Sri Lanka’s innovation ecosystem.

Ganaka will be joined by Group CIO, John Keells Holdings, Ramesh Shanmuganathan; General Partner, Blue Ocean Ventures, Prajeeth Balasubramaniam; and Chief Development Officer, MAS Holdings, Jehan Mutaliph, for a panel discussion which will be moderated by Advisor, Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade, Anushka Wijesinha.

This one-day event to be held at the Galle Face Hotel on May 17 will enable participants to learn how to drive innovation in their organizations, dissect what changes are happening now, what is on the horizon, and how their company can adapt to face the future.

The event is suited for C-suite officers and senior executives in technology, strategy, marketing, HR and new business development, a Chamber spokesman said.

Healthcare Tech Disruptors to discuss transforming traditional business models

How traditional businesses can adopt to new technology and latch on to evolving trends will be discussed by a set of ‘new thinkers’ and ‘doers’ disrupting the healthcare technology space.

The session titled ‘The Check Up: What’s driving innovation in Health and Wellness?’ will explore recent developments in this sector which has transformed consumer experiences and factors driving this transformation. Sohan Dharmaraja, CTO, oDoc; Chandima Cooray, Head of Digital, Hemas Holdings PLC; and Deeshana Basnayake, Director/CEO Health Net Buy will share their practical insights on innovating in the healthcare and wellness space. This session will be one of the three breakout sessions running simultaneously and will provide participants the opportunity to have an immersive discussion.
