The miracle of relics Parinirvana

20 May, 2018

The miraculous phenomenon of all Buddha’s relics in the world gathering at Ruwanweli Mahaseya to attain Parinirwana on a full moon day, when 5,000 years of Buddha Dhamma completes, after which no doctrine or relics of a Buddha would exist in the globe.

This will be the last passing away of a Buddha according to Buddhist chronicles and teachings.

Out of three Parinirvanas of a Buddha, the first two klesa (lust and craving) parinirvana occurred at Mahabodhiya at Buddha Gaya on a Vesak Full Moon day when Gautama attained full enlightenment – ‘Buddhahood’. Skanda parinirvana or the end of re-birth or end of this long sojourn of sansara ended in the Upawattana Sal grove of Mallawa kings of Kusi Nagar.

The third or last parinirvana – Datu parinirvana will be on another Vesak Full Moon day when the Buddha’s doctrine completes five thousand years of existence.

The intention of this article is to draw the attention of all readers to this rare and miraculous happening ending the Buddha’s doctrine and even the word Buddha will be heard no more after this day.

Most of the Buddha’s relics are found in our country enshrined in Dagobas or Pagodas.

These places are worshiped and venerated by the Buddhists world over. When the doctrine completes five thousand years of existence on yet another Vesak Full Moon day all the relics existing world over, Nagaloka, Divyaloka and Brahmaloka will gather at the Ruwanweli maha chaitya. The lion oil lamp (Singha thel pahana) lit on the day of enshrinement of relics will automatically blow off on this day. Relics from all over the globe and Naga Brahma and Divya lokas will gather at the relic chamber of Ruwanweli Seya.

They will be like a necklace in form and appear in Rajayatana Chaitya in Nagadeepa where Lord Buddha visited to settle a dispute.

At this chaitya the relics will gather in the gem studded chair on which the Buddha sat and preached his Dhamma. All the Nagas will gather here to witness this event.

The relics gathered thus will appear in Buddhagaya Jaya Sri Mahabodi. Simultaneously, a glass chair appearing there will place all relics and the relics will form into a size of living Buddha image.

This will be the last occasion we see a Buddha with our naked eyes. The word Buddha and the doctrine of the Buddha will be no more after this mystery.

All footprints of the Buddha existing world over will automatically vanish from this day.
