Skipper Sabith Feroz with three tries helped Royal College to continue with their unbeaten record as they defeated Isipathana College 41-7 in their inter school rugby match played at Havelock Park yesterday.

The winners took back the Major Milroy Fernando trophy after two years by collecting their points via seven tries, three conversions to one try and a conversion.

Royal received the kick-off and scored early try in the third minute of the game when their skipper scored an easy try and their place kicker Dulan Gunawardene missed converting.

After a few minutes Royal got into the action and scored another try via Sasith Siyath and this time Dulan make no mistake with the kick as Royal took a 12-0 lead.

Due to heavy rain and a muddy ground Royal used their forwards well and the try came through their forward Thulaib Hassen who touchdown when he received the ball from their skipper Feroz.

At the latter stage of the first half Royal scored their fourth try for a 22-0 half time lead.

In the second half Feroz scored back to back tries which was well converted Dulan Gunawardene. Royal then added another try in the 60th minute of the game via a rolling maul that went unconverted.

Isipathana also made some passing errors that never took them near to score in the second half apart from one occasion when Manoj Gowtham scored and their skipper Manilka Ruberu made no mistake with the conversion.
