Sri Lanka women to contest Asia Cup

A 15-member Sri Lanka women’s squad for the Asia Cup in Malaysia was announced by Sri Lanka Cricket.

The squad has no surprises with all the tried and tested faces finding a slot in the squad.

The tournament features India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and hosts Malaysia and will be held from June 3.

Each team will play against the other and the top two teams in the points table will qualify for the final.

Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh in their first match on June 3.

Sri Lanka squad: Yasoda Mendis, Anushka Sanjeewani, Rebecca Vandort, Hasini Perera, Shashikala Siriwardena, Nilakshi de Silva, Udeshika Prabodhani, Sugandhika Kumari, Oshadhi Ranasinghe, Nipuni Hansika, Malsha Shehani, Achini Kulasuriya, Inoshi Fernando, Harshitha Madavi, Inoka Ranaweera
