The Colombo branch of Sacred Heart Convent’s Past Pupils Association (PPA) organized a ‘Sing-a-long’ in Colombo to collect funds for the school archive where valuable documents, pictures and achievements of the 122 year old history of Sacred Heart Convent Galle will be preserved.
“The money we raise from today’s Sing-a-long will be the first contribution towards the SHC Archives” said Hasanka Witharana the President of the SHC PPA’s Colombo branch. “We are expecting around 200 Hartians to join us,” she added.
Principal of Sacred Heart Convent Galle Sister Patsy Nesamalar said that she was proud of the initiative taken by Hasanka and her energetic committee to organized the event. “Knowing the capabilities of Hartians’ to organize things and as the purpose is commendable I am sure that the event will be a big success,” sister Nesalmar said with pride.
The Hartians and their spouses were entertained and sang along with Chandani Hettiarachchi and Chaminda with C & C band.
