The arrival of Arahath Mahinda

Once upon a time,
There was a land called Rathnadeepa
Ruled by King Devanampiyatissa.
In this scared land,
People suffered due to a drought
Of literacy and ethics.
The monarchy of the land was in Ambasthala
Hunting when, his friend’s son visited with a precious gift.
The visitor was happy with his guest's knowledge
And offered his father’s gift
The reality of life the noble truth.
Later on, this island, Rathnadeepa,
Became a hallowed shrine of Buddhism.
