Martello Tower in disrepair

1 July, 2018

The ancient Martello Tower which bears a pleasant look on the outside is in a sorry state of disrepair. It was built by the British as a defence watch tower in 1876, modelled on the style of its namesake in Northern Corsica. Its ground floor was used for storage while the upper floor was used as lodgings for soldiers.
