A 'natural disaster' is a major mishap resulting from natural processes of the Earth. It causes a great loss of life and property. Some people are left homeless and face economical problems. Although natural disaster is a natural process and we cannot stop it, we can take measures to avoid an event turning into a disaster. Planting trees, for example, prevents erosion and landslides.
