Green tea: Have a cup everyday

Today’s generation including me are always trying to find new shortcuts to keep ourselves fit and healthy. We believe that certain foods and medicines would be the ideal way to shape up. It’s always a battle between our self-generated, advertisement driven mind and reality.

We see different marketing approaches from various health brands which makes us believe that it could work and make us look fit. It’s not always true that we could become slim by using these much-hyped products; it is just the way they entice us.

Well, one of the things we believe in is that green tea aids slimming. Green tea is consumed globally for its health benefits. Tea is the most consumed beverage after water, where 20% is green while the balance is black tea. The level of the oxidation in the leaves determines the type of the tea.

Green tea is the only type which contains antioxidants as it is made from unoxidized leaves.

It was mostly consumed in China and India as a medicinal drink. They believed that green tea would heal wounds, improve heart and mental health and regulate body temperature.

It is also said that green tea could have positive effects on diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and weight loss.

The cancer rates of countries consuming green tea are low. It is supposed to prevent cancers in breast, bladder, ovaries, skin and stomach.

It isn’t just a beverage we consume; it could lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of stroke.

Even though it is said that green tea has a major impact on weight loss, studies show that it promotes only non-significant weight loss. Green tea has the potential to enhance brain functions.

As green tea is not totally beneficial. There are known side effects which we need to be aware of when consuming green tea.

One must know whether he or she is severely sensitive to caffeine when consuming green tea as they could experience insomnia, anxiety, nausea or an upset stomach.

It is also risky for a person that is having blood-thinning drugs drink green tea due to its Vitamin K content.

Researchers have clearly stated that it is not recommended to have aspirin while taking green tea as they reduce the clotting effectiveness in platelets.

Green tea could also increase the heart rate and blood pressure if it is taken with stimulant drugs. There are some substances in green tea which are hazardous to our health.

Green tea which is promoted as a weight loss and a body slimming agent does not actually work when it comes to reality. But still, people seem to buy them due to the visual brainwashing they are subjected to on television.

Even though there are a few benefits of green tea, it is not recommended to have more than 3 cups of tea per day and we need to avoid having tea with meals.

Rather than spending our time, money and effort in making a cup of green tea why not try drinking something which is more convenient and cost-effective for everyone?

While we all are busy making green tea, there is another natural source which has many benefits for our health.

In addition to providing the body with the liquid, drinking a glass of hot water could progress digestion and of lungs. It could also be a relaxing agent. Most people are used to having hot water either early morning or before going to bed for health benefits.

Hot water can be used to soothe a sore throat and warm that area. Even inhaling water vapour will loosen all your clogged sinuses and relieve you from sinus headaches.

Having a glass of hot water is an effective way of soothing and activating the digestive tract. It will dissolve things you’ve had trouble digesting.

Drinking hot water can calm your nervous system. And when it does you will feel less aches and fewer panic attacks throughout the day. People who are suffering from arthritis may also benefit from having hot water to calm their nervous system.

It helps in relieving constipation and keeps you hydrated throughout the day. It is a must that an individual gets at least eight to twelve eight-ounce glasses of water per day.

Hot Water supports in weight loss something most of us desire. It wakes the body temperature system and activates your metabolism. It will also contract the intestines and clear waste products which bloat your body.

It can also decrease the stress levels which we see mostly in the working and education sectors. It improves the central nervous system functions and the blood circulation and helps reduce toxins and irritants that you are exposed to in the environment.

It is advisable to drink hot water which is at a temperature between 120°F and 140°F as temperatures beyond 160 degrees could damage your tissues and burn your taste buds.

Drinking hot water makes you less thirsty if you are working in a hot climate or are exercising then avoid having hot water.

Well as you can see it is more convenient to have a glass of Hot Water than a cup of Green tea which will affect your body in the long run by having an excessive amount of tea.

All you need to do is heat the water and drink a glass in the morning as soon as you wake up and before going to bed.
