Throughout the history of Britain there have been many prominent political leaders. Sir Winston Churchill stands out among them. He was one of the most popular leaders during the Second World War. His famous speeches were powerful and effective in reawakening patriotism among the people. If he was not in power in 1940 the history of modern England would have been different.
