Chris Hemsworth trolled Marvel fans at the awards with Avengers 4 ‘spoilers’The actor won the Choice Sci-Fi Actor for his role in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok He couldn’t attend the ceremony as he was busy filming the new Men In Black.

Thor actor Chris Hemsworth has had a great few days celebrating his 35th birthday, with everyone from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to Ryan Reynolds wishing the star a Happy Birthday, and then winning the Teen Choice Award 2018 gong for Sci-Fi Movie Actor for his role in Thor: Ragnarok.

To repay the fans’ votes, Hemsworth, who couldn’t attend the award ceremony in Los Angeles because he was busy filming the new Men In Black film, decided to give his fans some spoilers for the upcoming Avengers 4 film.

FaceTiming the Teen Choice Awards mascot Choicey in a pre-recorded bit Hemsworth thanked the fans for voting for him before saying: ‘As a big thank you, I’m going to give you a couple of spoilers for Avengers 4.’

‘So the first one is Thor has a new weapon in Avengers 4, it’s this thing,’ Hemsworth says before picking something up offscreen.

However, the connection is quite bad, conveniently breaking just at the moment of a massive reveal. ‘The other secret is the movie is going to be called,’ Hemsworth says before the connection breaks again

‘I know it’s crazy and I said,’ the Thor actor continues as the audio gets worse and worse and Choicey becomes increasingly frustrated.

Hemsworth ended the video by thanking the fans once more before jokingly shouting through a traffic cone: ‘Thanos, stop killing my friends!’

The gag is a reference to Avengers: Infinity War, in which Josh Brolin’s Thanos finally succeeded fulfilling his vision of wiping out half of the universe’s existence, which included the destruction of Marvel heroes including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Bucky Barnes and Nick Fury.

The film was a huge hit, earning over $2 billion worldwide. The highly-anticipated sequel, the name of which has not yet been revealed and thus only referred to as Avengers 4, is set to be released in April 2019.
