My favourite bird

9 September, 2018

My favourite bird is the Penguin. Penguins belong to the category of flightless birds because they cannot fly. They live mostly in the North and South poles of the Earth. They are black and white in colour. They have a distinctive waddling walk owing to their heavy bodies and short legs. They mostly feed on fish, squid and krill. Their wings are called flippers which help them travel up to thirty miles per hour in water. Penguins are very skilled swimmers and divers. They spend most of their time in water. They lay eggs and raise their young on land. There are many kinds of penguins. Emperor penguins are the largest species of penguins.
