Sri Lanka Cricket launched an initial programme to felicitate ex-cricketers of the pre-Test era and among the first group were from left: Amitha de Costa, Abdul Lafir, Ranjan Gunatilleke, Daya Sahabandu, Muttiah Devaraj, (Kamal Padmasiri-SLC competent authority, Faiszer Musthapha-Sports Minister, Ashley de Silva SLC CEO), TB Kehelgamuwa, Nihal Kodithuwakku, Lasantha Rodrigo and Dr. HIK Fernando. More ex-players of the period before Sri Lanka attained Test status in 1982 are to be felicitated.
