As many as 2400 boys and girls contested the road race conducted in Kuliyapitiya yesterday with Parami Wasanthi from Kuliyapitiya Central College winning the girls 15 kms race and Eranga Madushanka from President’s College Ambagasdowa bagging the boys 15 kms race.
In the boys five kms race the first place went to Kaveesha Induwara from President’s College Ambagasdowa while in the girls race Lakmini Dulanjani from Siri Dhamma Vidyalaya Galle took the first place. Githmee Sanjana from Bandaranayake MV Payagala won second place and Rishanthini Gawaravila from Tamil MV Hatton won third place.
In the 15 km boys race Eranga Madushanka from President’s College Ambagasdowa won first place while Chaminda Nuwan Kumara also from the same school took second place and Kavishka Eranga Silva from Bandaranayaka MV Payagala took third place. In the girls 15 km race Parami Wasanthi from Kuliyapitiya Central was first followed by second placed HMBA Herath also from the same school with Dilrukshi Samarakoon from Welimada MV in third place.
