Five members of of Sri Lanka’s champion Asian title winning netball team were felicitated by the Municipal Council of Kandy at the Town Hall on September 15.
Members of the victorious netball team of Sri Lanka who were present on the occasion were Ruwini Yatigammana, Gayanjali Amarawansa, Thilini Wattegedera, Gayani Dissanayake and Sureka Gamage.
Mayor of Kandy, Kesara Senanayake received the netball players at the entrance of the Town Hall after their visit to the Dalada Maligawa and came in a procession led by the band of Vihara Maha Devi Balika Vidyalaya.
