Acclivity Training - Seminar for managers

Acclivity Training will conduct a seminar - Legal Aspects of Business, Corporate Governance and Employment Regulations on Thursday, October 11from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Cinnamon Lake Side Hotel, Colombo, as a continuation of the seminar series on ‘Essential Business Skills for Managers’.

A spokesperson from Acclivity Training said that the series is designed for middle level managers to give them an all-round knowledge of business skills.

The sessions will be led by Chairman Tokyo Cement, Dr. Harsha Cabral PC; Chairman Management Systems (Pvt) Ltd, Asite Talwatte and Director General Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Kanishka Weerasinghe respectively. Participants will be able to learn and understand principles of law in the business environment, including the rights and liabilities of the individual and the business person, laws on intellectual property, ethics in the business environment and corporate social responsibility in the Sri Lankan and global context. =

The session will also deal with employment regulations that are essential in running a business.

The seminar series, in keeping with its objective of providing all round skills to managers includes sessions on Corporate Finance and Taxation, Legal Aspects, Employment Regulations, Corporate Governance, the Sri Lankan Economy and Banking and Capital Markets.
