The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards is conducted annually by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The award recognises the importance of Corporate Sustainability in Sri Lanka and encourages businesses to adopt best practices in line with achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Chamber believes that besides the accolade itself, the award acts as a measure of year-on-year progress, as well a performance evaluation for Corporates, alongside their peers in the respective industries.
There are two award categories based on Company turnover - Above and below Rs 15 billion respectively. Therefore, the BCCS Award (Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award) is a holistic competition, encouraging the efforts of the private/public sector, to interact responsibly with its stakeholders.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce encourages business enterprises to apply for the ‘Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2018’, and ‘Best Projects Sustainability Awards 2018’ and join a journey of sustainable practice.
Applications are evaluated by Sri Lanka’s best thought leaders in sustainability. Applications close on Friday, October 12. The award ceremony will take place on November 26, 2018.
