The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo is organising an evening of Hindustani Vocal Music recital by Sri Lankan artiste Wageesha Ruwangee at its auditorium located at Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7, on October 17 at 6 p.m.
Wageesha Ruwangee holds a Master’s Degree in Music from the Visva Bharati University, West Bengal availing a scholarship from the Govternment of India. She also holds Sangeet Visharada from Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapeeth, Lucknow. At present she is engaged in teaching Hindustani classical music at an International School in Athurugiriya.
All are invited.
