During the last century, science has made a significant contribution to make our lives easier. Scientists made developments in fields such as medicine, agriculture and transport. Today the housewife does not have to do unpleasant and difficult tasks which she had to do before these inventions. With electricity for domestic purposes she has got rid of heavy tasks. The washing machine, vacuum cleaner, grinder and electric cooker are some examples.
Farmers who had to work hard in their paddy fields now have less manual labour for ploughing, harvesting and transporting because of modern machinery. The field of health science has made marvellous changes. Doctors have several equipment to diagnose diseases and give treatment. Because of the development of science and technology modern methods of transport have made life easier. People can go anywhere very easily. Life has become easier because of the development of science and technology.
