Help for human trafficking victims

14 October, 2018

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched an e-module for Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) in Colombo last week to equip Sri Lanka’s Missions and Posts overseas to identify, assist and protect victims of human trafficking.

The module was prepared by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by the Government of Australia.

It includes seven sub parts which have been developed to provide officers a basic understanding of the crime of human trafficking including how it differs from smuggling.
