George Keyt Foundation presents Sri Lankan Art 2018

21 October, 2018
Sri Lankan Art is a series of annual exhibitions initiated by the George Keyt Foundation in 2001. Originally named ‘Sculptors and Painters of Sri Lanka’, the exhibition was subsequently renamed – ‘Sri Lankan Art’.

This annual show is a much looked-forward-to exhibition as it is an opportunity for Sri Lankan artists to exhibit together as a group, their most recent paintings and sculptures executed by them within the previous 12 month period, and provides an opportunity for the public to view the current trends being adopted by our senior most artists.

Nations Trust Bank PLC – American Express Cards has once again stepped in to support and sponsor the exhibition. This gesture by the sponsors demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility in fostering the development of Art in Sri Lanka, is appreciated by the artists and the art-loving public.

The exhibition will be held at the J.D.A. Perera Galleries, University of the Visual and Performing Arts, No. 46, Horton Place, Colombo 7.

It will be inaugurated on Tuesday October 23, High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh M. Riaz Hamidullah and continue until October 28. It is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance is free.
