High Commissioner of Pakistan, Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat called on Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa and Speaker of Parliament, Karu Jayasuriya on November 1, 2018.
During the meetings, the current political situation in Sri Lanka was discussed.
The High Commissioner reiterated Pakistan’s support for the continuation and consolidation of the democratic process in Sri Lanka. He expressed hope that the ongoing political situation will be resolved peacefully and amicably in accordance with the Constitution of the country and the aspirations of the Sri Lankan people.
