Navod Paranavitharana hit a belligerent 62 runs off just 39 deliveries to steer Sri Lanka Under-19 to an eight wicket victory on the D/L system over Bangladesh U-19 in their one day match played at Dambulla yesterday.

Sri Lanka was given a target of 161 to score off 25 overs and raced to 161 for 2 in 16.4 overs.

Sri Lanka U-19 openers Paranavitharana and Kamil Mishra opened out and scored 66 runs before Mishra was dismissed for 26 runs. Paranavitharana went on a scoring spree with 62 runs off just 39 deliveries with ten boundaries before being dismissed.

Ravindu Rashantha and Nipun Dananjaya then remained unbeaten until the target was reached off just 16.4 overs. Rashantha was unbeaten on 32 runs while skipper Dananjaya was unbeaten on 38 off just 15 balls with three fours and three sixes.
