NOLIMIT celebrates Children’s Day at the National Zoo

18 November, 2018

Sri Lanka’s leading fashion retail chain, NOLIMIT celebrated Children’s Day in partnership with the National Zoological Garden recently. The annual event was held for the sixth year, and was a part of NOLIMIT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative Aseemitha. Through Asseemitha, NOLIMIT strives to become an organisation which influences social change and leaves a positive impact on our communities.

The zoo had a festive and carnival atmosphere with over 18,000 participants. To kick things off, NOLIMIT released 100 helium balloons to the delightful cheers of all the children. As they entered the zoo, children received a special welcome from popular cartoon mascots such as Spider Man, Minion and Mickey Mouse.

They were treated to a variety of fun-filled activities ranging from bouncy castles, face painting, and even a magic show. NOLIMIT also organised a host of interactive games to entertain the children such as Basketball Shootout, Angry Bird Catapult, Dunk Tank and Mini Golf.

The main event of the day was an exciting Art Competition where over 2300 children participated under four age categories. The little ones enjoyed themselves to the fullest while letting their imagination take over as they painted with passion and enthusiasm. NOLIMIT presented the winners with special gift packs to encourage them to pursue their talent further. NOLIMIT gave these children an opportunity to immerse themselves in a fun-filled day and create wonderful memories through this engaging event, with the National Zoo serving as a delightful backdrop to the occasion. The event was also educational for the parents and adults who accompanied the children, because they were taught the importance of letting their children play outdoors, appreciate nature, express their creativity and make friends.
