The Central Bank issued a circulation standard commemorative coin with a face value of Rs. 10 to mark the 75th anniversary of Sri Lanka Signal Corps and to give recognition to its service to the country over 75 years.
The first coin was presented to Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Mahinda Rajapaksa by Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy last week.
The coin will be put into circulation through commercial banks and can be used for payments along with other currency notes and coins.
