Exhibition of dolls

Pushpa Padmaperuma will hold a dolls exhibition and sale from December 14 to 16 at the Lionel Wendt Art Centre, Colombo 7. The event, inaugurated by Mrs. Hema Premadasa is in aid of children with special needs . Padmaperuma who has been producing handmade quality toys for nearly four decades, is a well known figure in the entrepreneurial world. Pushpa, starting her collection of handmade dolls as a small business, held her first exhibition in 1984.

She has now retired from business, but still makes dolls in her leisure. At present her sole aim is to support her charity project which is to help the mothers of special needs children and those of low income families.
