Sinhalese Sports Club one of the oldest clubs spanning over hundred years will be sponsored for the seventh consecutive year by Kandurata Umbrella.
“All cricketing activities during the upcoming season will get a boost from our sponsorship,” said Chief Executive Officer of the company S.D.K. Lokuge at a Press briefing held at SSC on Tuesday.
“Our Company’s vision is to add more glamour to sports through funds what we earn from our local patrons and we consider it as our duty to serve them by promoting sports. It is a fact that sponsors are playing a major role in promoting clubs in various fields of sports and it has helped many of our players to perform well internationally and brought honour to the motherland.
“SSC is a club that produced 30 national cricketers who reached top level and this was the reason why we decided to sponsor the club. Kandurata Umbrella hopes the club will achieve more success in the future too,” he said.
