SLT launched Telehealth Insurance, a medial insurance scheme, in collaboration with Ceylinco General Insurance Limited.
The agreement was signed by the two parties and the product was launched at the SLT auditorium in Colombo Fort recently. The registration of the first Telehealth Insurance customer also took place during the ceremony.
Telehealth Insurance is a hospitalisation support plan for SLT customers.
The cover provides financial assistance for hospitalisation in any government hospital, registered private hospital or nursing home or other approved government or private Ayurveda hospital.
The monthly premia is as low as Rs.100. The premia can be settled along with the monthly SLT telephone bill. Three packages are available for customers to select from: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
The insurance covers are available for the subscriber, the spouse and children of subscribers, based on their needs up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000 will be provided per night at a hospital with an additional dengue cover worth Rs.10,000 under the scheme.
The two companies guarantee that all eligible claims be settled within five days.
Customers need only inform Ceylinco Insurance of hospitalisations at the earliest opportunity and submit the necessary documents.
SLT customers who are 70 years or below are eligible to obtain this cover and their children between the ages of 1 to 18 years are eligible to be dependents under the scheme.
