‘Wana Aranaka Avurudu Udaava’ in Padaviya

‘Wana Aranaka Avurudu Udaava’ the annual Avurudu Festival of The Wana Arana Foundation will be held in Padaviya, Sri Puraya.

This year the ‘Wana Aranaka Avurudu Udaava’ will be held as the National Avurudu festival of The Sri Lanka Army, the festivities centering the ‘Vevai Daagebai Gamai Pansalai’ concept, scheduled to take place in the Sri Pura village, Padaviya according to Secretary of the Wana Arana Foundation, Thushara Wanasinghe.

The initial discussions were held recently at the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters in the presence of the Army Commander, the representatives of the Wana Arana foundation and Sri Lanka Army personnel. It was followed by an inspection tour to the proposed site at Padaviya.

The festival is planned to be held on a grand scale under the theme Sirisara Avurudu Udanaya as the National Avurudu festival of The Sri Lanka Army parallel with the Wev Seeyak project conceptualised by the Sri Lanka Army Commander Lt. Gen Mahesh Senanayake.
