Clarion Hotels to invest Rs. 2.1 b in Clarion City

Clarion Hotels will invest Rs. 2.1 billion to build Clarion City Kiribathgoda, a mixed development project.

The ground breaking ceremony of the US$ 13 million complex was held recently in Kiribathgoda.

The luxury Clarion City complex which is due to be built in three stages will consist of a luxury hotel and apartment complex with an initial investment of Rs. 700 million in its first phase. The second stage of the venture will comprise offices and apartments and the third will see a modern shopping complex.

Managing Director of Clarion Hotels, Danuja Pathirana said that he would introduce luxury apartment living to Kiribathgoda with this facility.

The first phase will comprise between 35-40 apartments and is scheduled to be completed by 2021.

Pathirana said the the apartments will run parallel with the hotel project so that residents could obtain the services of the hotel.

The Managing Director said the project is carried out with their Chinese partner HongKong Runxing Managing Director Yan and they plan to complete Clarion City by 2025 on 80 perches of land.
