Thanthi joins Virakesari

Virakesari, the national Tamil newspaper in Sri Lanka has signed a collaborative agreement with Thinathanthi, a daily having a circulation of over 1.8 million copies across India. The Thanthi Group also has TV and radio channels.

There will also be articles of reader interest in the health, tourism, education and entertainment fields.

The collaboration will help in the improvement of journalism quality and provide a platform for training and skills development. Express Newspapers publishes international news in English in the Daily Express which is circulated in Colombo along with the Virakesari. Readers will now be able to read Thinathanthi along with the Virakesari.

This collaborative agreement was entered into in Colombo on January 9, between the two companies and the supplement of the Thinathanthi will be carried with the Daily Virakesari from January 24, from Monday to Saturday.
