A team calling itself the Bashers Cricket Club from Sri Lanka returned to the island after a successful tour of India where they contested the Bangalore Premier League and entered the semi finals of the tournament to be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in March.
The club was formed in 2015 and they won three of their four matches.
The tournament was worked off in four groups of five teams each with one team from overseas.
