The latest book I read is Rohini by Martin Wickramasinghe. It was first published in 1929. It is a story about King Dutugemunu and his victory in Vijithapura. It is also about one of his warriors named Athula
who was a son of Mithra, the great Sinhala warrior of enemy King Elara. Later on, Athula went to Anuradhapura with one of his friends and on their way back home he was told about the cruelness of Elara and his ministers. Athula made a speech about the cruelness of Elara and his soldiers went there and remanded Athula’s friend. Athula gave a huge support for the victory of Prince Gemunu.
