‘Motion Miracles’ his brainchild

27 January, 2019

Being multi-talented, entrepreneurial, guitarist, and former semi-pro tennis player, Anish Wijesinghe started his first business at the tender age of 13. At 22, he has ventured into a variety of different IT-based fields.

He had a vision for setting up a studio for the creation of games at the age of 14 and succeeded in turning this vision into reality in 2017. As a result his game development company 'Motion Miracles' was established in Sri Lanka with its head office in Montreal.

As the CEO of the company, Anish has succeeded in creating a passionate team which works towards the realisation of his dream. His story is bound to motivate you.

At the age of 10, he became the number one junior tennis player in Sri Lanka after winning the ‘Junior National Tennis Championship in 2007’. He then moved to Florida to get professional training and became number one in the world’s biggest sports academy - IMG .

Everything was turning out to be just perfect, with his dreams becoming realities. Failures were just a part of his life at this point. He made it to the top ten tennis players in France. "Life creates opportunities. All we have to do is grab them before they fade away from our sight," he said

He chose to be home schooled to establish a good career in tennis. “Home schooling was a great choice I made, which made me discover my hidden talents. This is when I learnt to play the guitar and start my first business. At the age of 14, I made my first 10,000 dollars. Home schooling was a key factor in my development” he said.

At the age of 17, Anish faced an injury that took away his dream of being a professional tennis player. “I found hidden powers within me. With courage and resilience I found the strength to overcome the obstacles that came my way. I had to move on. As I couldn’t get good grades from home schooling, I went back to the States. I completed my high school education there. Then I started concentrating on my business,” Anish said.

‘Motion Miracles’ is a game development company. It also is an independent studio with a focus on building a mass market for mobiles and consoles.

"My company builds mobile games that would allow people to understand very complicated topics in a very simple way. If you want to teach your children city planning, or civil engineering, we would build an assimilation, or something that could be downloaded by millions, just to play as a fun intuitive game. The children will sub consciously learn about very complicated topics. I’m proud to say that I’m supplying 3D products to big gaming communities. Now I have about 70,000 followers’, said Anish.

Anish spoke of his interest in music. Beat boxing has influenced him. He recreates music with beat boxing while playing the guitar. “I’m a follower of Julius Mitchell who is a beat boxer in Sri Lanka".

Anish is very fluent in French which he considers his mother tongue.

Anish has his own views about life. “Everyone has a different reality and different emotional connection with the world. To me life is something difficult. I love it, because it allows me to grow. I have a visionary mind set. It allows me to strive for big things that comes my way. Everything that comes my way I treat like a game. I work hard. I don’t have any boundaries in my mind set. I create my vision”.

According to Anish, spending time productively while achieving goals is tough and strenuous. It is easy to lose the track of time and efficiency, especially when you work really hard. In the morning he wakes up and plans his day. He is very conscious of every moment thinking "Am I doing the right thing now?"

He plays the guitar to relax.“Sometimes I go to work at eight am and come back home the next day around 12pm. In that sense I stay up around 14 hours, multiple times a week. This week I stayed up like 40 hours and I lost my voice” he said.

His mission is to become one of the best people in the world. To stand up and do a great service to the world, not to just leave a legacy. It is a great achievement to enjoy life with something substantial. To thrive beyond the challenges and to show you are more than your scars is the biggest part of his mission.

Family is God’s gift for every living being on this earth. For Anish his parents are an important part of his life; they are the real heroes behind his victory. His father, Thilan Wijesinghe was former BOI Chairman. His mom Shanika used to be in the fashion industry and is also founder of the Bond Street Company. "When my brother and I were born she stopped work to raise us. Now my brother lives in Montreal and helps me with the expansion of my company. I can’t imagine my life without my family. They are everything to me" Anish said.
