Sigiriya

10 February, 2019

During the December holidays my family and I went on a trip to Sigiriya. We reached Sigiriya after four hours. First, we bought tickets and got a guide at the entrance.

Sigiriya is a rock fortress which was built by King Kashyapa. It is in the Matale District in the Central Province. The ruins of the palace are at the top of the rock. There are beautiful gardens and frescoes in Sigiriya. We returned home after a very enjoyable trip.
