Colombo FC prepare for Bhutan challenge

Colombo FC, the Dialog League Champions in 2017, is to take on Transport United FC from Bhutan in an AFC Cup Preliminary stage fixture. The first leg will be played on February 20 at the Race Course ground with play commencing at 3.30 p.m.

The Colombo FC is led by former national player Rawme Mohideen.

The second leg is set to be hosted by Bhutan on February 27.

Saif Yusoof the founder member and manager of Colombo FC said that the club has made much progress in a short period of less than ten years. They have achieved great success mainly due to the determination of the team members and the officials of the club. The team at present is in peak form and hope to do well.The most difficult task for the players will be to play in cold climatic conditions that prevail in Bhutan at present.

The 22-member team is managed by Saif Yusoof and the coach and physio and sponsored by Expolanka Freight and Classic Travels
