Sri Lankans rush to follow first ever global fitness promotion

Some 250 fitness addicts attended a seminar held at the Sri Lanka Foundation conducted by the world’s leading physical education platform Physique Global in association with PRECOR one of the world’s leading fitness equipment brands.

CEO of Physique Global Jag Chima from the United Kingdom, CEO of Kaged Muscle Supplements Kris Gethin from the USA and Abhinav Mahajan, Physique Global athlete and fitness promoter from India took back-to-back sessions to educate the fitness enthusiasts who came from several parts of the country to attend the rare seminar.

Dr. Dimithra Sirisena, Vice Chairman of the Araliya Group, Colonel Manjula Kariyawasam advisor of the Education Ministry, Rathamudali, director physical education University of Moratuwa, Duminda Attanayake sports physician, Dr. Lal Ekanayake sports physician, Dr. Dhammika sports physician and Dr. Kiriella sports physician also graced the occasion.

Mahajan told his audience about the secrets of fat loss diets and clarified some common myths about food intake while Chima spoke on the many opportunities the fitness industry has to offer for both promoter and athlete alike.

Gethin provided an in-depth knowledge on Supplements and nutrition while explaining the impact on achieving the desired results by “applying the science in a systematic way”.

Gethin’s fitness programme’s spur some 250 million downloads with a following of some 70 million world-wide.

He has trained and transformed several Bollywood film stars including Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor and Mahesh Babu.

“We are delighted here to organize this event in Sri Lanka for enhancing educational levels in fitness and as such look forward to more events frequently in the near future as Physique Global is dedicated towards creating more educators to get this industry grow especially where people lack facilities and education,” he said.

Dimithra Sirisena pledged that he will lend his whole-hearted support for such fitness projects that he said was beneficial for the youth of Sri Lanka.
