The Mannar mass grave issue that remains an unresolved mystery with many unanswered questions while also exposing the horrors of war has again evoked another massive protest demonstration.
A demonstration was held on Thursday under the auspices of the Association of Mothers Searching for Disappeared Children (AMSDC). The demonstrators who included relatives of those subjected to forcible disappearances
The leader of Tamil Eelam Liberation Organisation (TELO) and Deputy Chairman of Committees Selvam Adaikalanathan MP, representing the Mannar constituency, told the Sunday Observer that nothing conclusive on the happenings behind the mass grave and the possible perpetrators can be told until the time of the happening can be ascertained.
He said the area in question was under the control of the LTTE and the Government forces during the changing phases of the war.
