Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment to commemorate fallen heroes

The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment will remember its fallen heroes today, March 3, at a commemoration ceremony at the Regiment’s War Memorial at its headquarters in Boyagane, Kurunegala.

The ceremony titled ‘The Sound of Silence’ will begin at 8.30 a.m. The families of soldiers, who lost their lives in the three-decade war to eradicate terrorism, are due to be present. Over 131 officers and 2,268 other ranks of the Regiment laid down their lives for the Motherland.
