The opening ceremony of the Tamil section building of St. Anthony’s National College, Wattala was held at the College premises recently. It was held under the patronage of Principal Rev. Fr. I. Mal W. Fernando. The project was launched by the Tamil Old Boys’ Association. The school has 600 students in the Sinhala and Tamil Mediums and 22 teachers.
Hunupitiya Kovil Sodirathnam Kurukal, Deputy Mayor of Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha V. Prakash, Members of the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha, R. Vijayakumar, K. Dharmarathnam, S. Sasikumar, A.N.I. Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director K. Udayakumar and Pharmco Industries (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director S. Sivaraja were the guests of honour. Students, teachers, parents, old boys and religious dignitaries were also present.
