7 April, 2019

The giant ant-eater is a carnivorous mammal. Its scientific name is Myrmecophagatridactyla. It is an edentate. That means, it doesn’t have teeth. It got the name ‘ant-eater’ because it eats about 35,000 ants and termites a day.

The giant ant-eater is about seven feet long and 40 to 140 pounds. It can fight with the Puma and Jaguar too. It mostly lives in tropical and dry forests, Savanna and the grasslands in America.
