Mangala Yapa receives the letter of appointment from President Maithripala Sirisena.
Mangala Yapa, a professional with wide experience in the private and public sector assumed duties as the Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI) last week, following an earlier stint as a Member of its Board.
Earlier, Yapa was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Colombo Dockyard PLC. Subsequently he headed the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) as the Secretary General/CEO and was also President of the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE). He was also a Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade.
