The trick you called love

12 May, 2019

The mischief glimmering in your eyes,
In your deeds a loyal friend,
The smile that took my heart by surprise,
Against I could not defend ,
A glitched sense of romance expressed,
I know not if fake or real,
yet my heart believes,
It is impressed,
But my feelings I shall conceal.
Frozen in your heartbeat,
Lost in the darkness of your soul,
your love it burnt me,
My ashes still seek your warmth
To quench the fire you kindled in me,
I try to put it out with Martini,
When in fact my addiction was you
And the trick you called love
My intoxication.
