Udawalawe National Park

The Udawalawe National Park is situated on the boundary of the Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces. It is home to many animals such as elephants, leopards, crocodiles and many exotic birds. The reserve covers 30,821 hectares. The Park is a big tourist attraction. It is known as one of the most beautiful parks in Sri Lanka. There is an Elephant Transit Home next to the park.

The park provides Jeep Safaris for tourists from around the world. There are nearly 300 elephants in the park. There are black bears, water buffaloes and deer. Picturesque lakes and rivers dot the park. The Udawalawe National Park is truly a beautiful park.
