The Austrian motorcycle brand KTM Duke 125 was launched recently in Sri Lanka by David Pieris Motor Company (Private) Limited (DPMC) at the Battaramulla and Jaffna KTM showrooms as well as Dealer Points in Matara, Kattankudy and Akkaraipattu.

With the introduction of KTM Duke 125, six KTM models including Duke 200, RC 200, Duke 250, Duke 390 and RC 390 are now available in Sri Lanka.

DPMC Divisional Manager (Vehicle Sales) Lakmal de Silva said that this will be the first performance-oriented 125cc motorcycle complete with a four stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC and fuel injection engine in the country.

The Duke 125 is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 15PS of power and 12Nm of torque at 8000rpm.

The engine works in tandem with a six-speed transmission with an ability to speed from 0 to 100 in 16 seconds. Brakes include discs on both ends with single-channel ABS by bosch with rear wheel sensing as a standard feature. The rear tyre size of the bike is 150mm and comes with an electric start, mono REAR shock absorbers, informative TFC DIGITAL speedo meter, aluminum swing arms and attractive split seat.

He said the Duke 125 is available in three contemporary KTM colour variants.

“Most of features of KTM Duke 125 are available first time in Sri Lanka in this bike category,” Silva said.

The KTM Duke 125 is packed with quality USD (upside-down) WP suspension. The mono shock absorber has a progressive spring, where pre-load is adjustable providing a well-balanced suspension. It has some serious style quotient, with the tank design being a show stealer.
