Sri Lankans at Mississippi State University, USA gathered at The Junction, MSU on 22nd April at 7.15pm to pray for the innocent souls who lost their lives from the terrorist attack last week in Sri Lanka.
“We came to light a candle for peace,” Saman Adhikari said.
The community lit hundreds of candles that spelled out “Pray For Sri Lanka.”
“It’s hard to hold back tears, especially since I’ve known some of them for so many years. They are like a part of my family,” Grant Nash said.
During the ceremony, a local pastor prayed for all the affected families.
They also wrote messages on posters such as ‘Let this candle light give relief to our hearts’ to send to their families overseas. -RJ
