Senura Silva shines in ITTF

Senura Silva is an under-15 junior ranked national player of Sri Lanka who finished first in the first round of the SET Thailand Junior and Cadet Open (Golden Series) - 2019 ITTF World Junior Circuit conducted by ITTF on May 15 to 19 in Bangkok.

Senura finished first in his group and was selected to the main draw that consisted 64 players.

He won his first round match in the main draw. However, though offering a good fight back, lost to Fernandez Carlos in the next stage to a National player from Peru, 3-0. A student of Ananda College, Senura Silva is ranked number one in the under-15 and 18 categories in Sri Lanka.

He is the son of former Sri Lankan national Table Tennis champions Deepika Rodrigo and former National Table Tennis Player Indika Prasad.
