The annual art exhibition themed Space of the Russian School of Art, Russian Centre in Colombo will be held up to June 10. The inauguration ceremony was held on May 27, with the presence of Madam Anastasia Khokhlova, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Director of the Russian Centre in Colombo. The 162 students of the Russian School of Art have been guided by Arjuna Jayasinghe and his assistant teachers, Maheshika Fernando and Natalie Hettiarachchi in bringing this exhibition to life.
Participants were awarded certificates with equal recognition for their contribution. The walls of the Russian Centre in Colombo are colourfully decorated with artistic expressions of the young students, showcasing their talents and abilities from ethnically diverse communities where all are welcome to drop by and witness the arts and crafts of the little ones.
