Kavinda Subasinghe, a promising cricketer from the British School in Colombo (BSC), has been rewarded with a full scholarship to represent the Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, England during the upcoming First XI cricket season.

He is a right-arm fast bowler and left-hand middle order batsman who spearheaded the British School bowling attack in the past two years and captained the Under-15 and Under-17 teams which toured Malaysia, England and India. Subasinghe also played a major role in guiding the British School to clinch the inter-International Schools Under-17 title where he returned excellent figures of four for 17 in the final against Lyceum, Nugegoda.

He compiled seven centuries and 20 half centuries for the British School during his school career and was picked in the first ever Sri Lanka International Schools team which participated in the International Schools Cricket Premier League held in India last December.
