Dialog Axiata teams up with Tenaga Car Parks

Dialog Axiata PLC has been appointed as the technological partner for the launch of the Touch Parking Card, by Tenaga Car Parks Pvt Ltd., in partnership with the Colombo Municipal Council.

The Card provides NFC (Near-field Communication) technology as a payment solution for parking tickets.

The launch of the Touch Parking Card follows the deployment of street parking meters and POS (Point of Sales) devices in Colombo by Tenaga Car Parks Pvt Ltd. As part of phase one of the project, services will be available from Galle Face to Wellawatte, along Galle Road and Duplication Road.

Customers using this touch card will thus be able to use the stored value in the card for paying parking tickets. Services are also expected to extend to Genie, the country’s first and only PCI-DSS certified payment app, as part of phase two of the project. This initiative allows parking service providers the option of maintaining records of vehicles and tickets.

The Touch Parking Card can be topped up at any Dialog Customer Care point or Touch retailer point.
